Manila, Philippines, September 16, 2011 -- Repertory Philippines (REP), the country's premier English-language theater company, and Stages Production Specialists Inc. (Stages), a fast growing event and talent management firm,  will bring to the Meralco Theatre Anthony Drewe and George Stiles' musical incarnation of Peter Pan from September 29 to October 30.

Philippine theater stalwarts Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo (also REP's associate artistic director) and Jaime del Mundo will direct teen star Sam Concepcion, who plays Peter Pan, the boy who wouldn't grow up and Michael Williams, who plays Captain Hook, a flawed but lovable villain.

John Batalla will design the lights; Gino Gonzales will create the stylized set; and Raven Ong will design the thematic costumes.

"I'm excited to perform in a musical once again. After all, it's been around three years since I did a musical. I'm looking forward to all the flying scenes and performing all the wonderful songs from the musical," Concepcion said in a press statement.

The cast will include Cara Barredo and Tippy Dos Santos as Wendy Moira Angela Darling, the eldest of the Darling children and the "mother" of the Lost Boys; Nacho Tambunting as John Darling and Juan Miguel Santos as Michael Darling, Wendy's younger siblings; Robie Zialcita as Smee, Captain Hook's comic sidekick; Kyla Rivera as Tiger Lily, a willful Indian princess; Joy Virata as the Narrator/Older Wendy; Jaime del Mundo as Mr. Darling; Pinky Marquez as Mrs. Darling; George Schulze, Kevin Concepcion, Jay Pangilinan, Bym Buhain, Jejie Esguerra, Justin Valiente and Chris Habibib as the Lost Boys; Lorenz Martinez, James Stacey, Hans Eckstein, Edu Briones, Meynard Peñalosa, Kuya Manzano and Chino Veguillas as Captain Hook's swashbuckling pirate crew.

Tinker Bell, Peter Pan's famous pixie companion, will be presented as a tiny flashing light and tinkling music.

Drewe and Stiles, who are best known for their work on Honk! and Disney's Mary Poppins, have collaborated with book writer Willis Hall for this stage adaptation of J.M. Barrie's beloved classic.

The musical, which first opened in Denmark in 1996, won several awards including The Orchestra Award and Best Song for "When I Kill Peter Pan" at the International Musical of the Year in 1996. The musical was also broadcast on BBC Radio 3 during its New Year's Day concert in 2001 and was presented at the Royal Festival Hall in London in 2002.

Faithful to the original tale, Peter Pan arrives and disturbs the quiet nursery room of the Darling family as he searches for his lost shadow.  With the help of Wendy, who sews his shadow back in place, Peter brings all the Darling children to Never Land.
