New York, August 14, 2012 - "The Bourne Legacy," the fourth installment of the multi-billion dollar spy movie franchise, which topped the weekend box office in North America just last weekend, has found a bona fide action star in Jeremy Renner (agent Aaron Cross); a sweltering, bustling action sequence location in Manila whose climactic chase scenes on foot, in car, and on motorcycle add "visceral kick to the chaos," according to Wired Magazine; and a slew of talented Philippine-based theater, film, and television actors - John Arcilla, Madelaine Nicolas, Ruby Ruiz, Anne Garcia, Lou Veloso, and Adrian Talinga, among others - that share brief yet considerably memorable scenes with Renner and the film's leading lady, Rachel Weisz (virologist Dr. Marta Shearing).

(Center) John Arcilla, who has done more than 50 movies and television series - some of them were international films such as Sean Ellis' "Metro Manila" and John Sayles' "Amigo" - plays Joseph, a security guard at a pharmaceutical laboratory in Manila. Madelaine Nicolas, who has also done more than 50, mostly local movies and television series, plays a landlady whose old, dilapidated apartment provides an overnight refuge for Cross and Shearing. HRC/WENN photo shows Nicolas at the film's New York premiere at Ziegfeld Theatre.
Anne Garcia, who is seen in stage plays of Tanghalang Pilipino and in numerous television commercials and soaps, appears as a thirty-something mother that shoos away Shearing in the middle of a chase scene shot through narrow alleys in San Andres, Manila.
