Photo Coverage: LES MIS International Tour Stars Launch Albums in Manila

Manila, Philippines--Helpmann Award winners Simon Gleeson (Jean Valjean) and Kerrie Anne Greenland (Eponine), current stars of the international touring production of Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil's phenomenal musical LES MISERABLES, took time out from their daily performances at The Theatre at Solaire, Solaire Resorts and Casino, to launch their newest solo albums held at Pangea Ultra Lounge at City of Dreams last Wednesday, March 30.

Mr. Gleeson's 11-track "Elements" album and Ms. Greenland's 5-track "Pictures" album are physically available for purchase at The Theatre at Solaire's merchandise store until Sunday, May 1, which is also LES MISERABLES' closing performance in Manila after three extensions.

Officially released mid-year last year, Mr. Gleeson's "Elements" album is "filled with beautiful, personal performances of well-known songs that have been treated to Gleeson's voice--at times stirring and powerful, at others haunting and melancholic..." - iTunes. The album features songs by musical theater legends Stephen Sondheim ("Being Alive"), Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II ("If I Loved You"), of course, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil ("Bring Him Home"), and Elton John ("Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word"), among others.

Ms. Greenland's "Pictures" album was first made available to the public when LES MISERABLES held its first preview performance at The Theatre at Solaire last Friday, March 11. It features "Run to You" from the movie-turned-musical "The Bodyguard," "Once Upon A Dream" from the Disney animated film "Sleeping Beauty," "Let It Go" from the Disney animated film "Frozen," "The Man that Got Away" from the movie "A Star is Born," and, of course, "On My Own" from LES MISERABLES. In the album, Ms. Greenland is accompanied by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, featuring the orchestral arrangments of Steven Baker.
