Manila, Philippines, July 30, 2013--BroadwayWorld.com met the racially diverse cast of the emerging independent theater group Shaharazade's fifth endeavor, "Ritual World," Saturday, July 6 at the Buoy Restaurant in Malate, Manila.
Cast members Thea Gloria from the Philippines; Irina Kondratova from Czech Republic; Gildas Yombi from the Republic of Cameroon; Tianyi Zhang from China; and Nikita Menshov from Kyrgyzstan presented an intriguing sneak peek at "Ritual World," where age-old rituals, which have historically influenced various theatrical forms, took center stage.

At the preview, "Ritual World," written and directed by Christopher Aronson ("[untitled]," "Trobol sa Troya"), surfaced as a piece of interactive theater, too, where the guests and members of the press participated in the some of the rituals re-enacted on stage.
"In 'Ritual World,' audiences will get to feel--in a very intimate manner--a first-hand experience of what we're showing you, guys [referring to the sneak peek]," Gloria, a "theater arts" graduate from Assumption College, told BroadwayWorld.com.
In doing so, "We want the audience, at the end of the play, to feel renewed and to feel better," added Zhang, who studies at Purdue University in Indiana.
