New York, February 17, 2013 -- Via email, Nikki Snelson, the Broadway actress, dancer, and choreographer arguably best known for her role as fitness queen Brooke Wyndham in the screen-to-stage adaptation of "Legally Blonde," has confirmed with BroadwayWorld that she will indeed travel to Manila, Philippines to hold a weekend of jazz class, singing/acting master class from Saturday, March 9 to Sunday, March 10.

"It's going to be a great weekend!" Snelson told us.

The Broadway star's coaching stint in Manila, made possible by Prod'G Arts International, comes on the heels of her well-attended workshops for young performers at Rochester Broadway Theatre League's "Summer Stars Program" in New York, Broadway Dreams Foundation in Pennsylvania, and Broadway in Asbury Park in New Jersey last summer.

Gimbey dela Cruz, head of Prod'G Arts International (who was also cast member in the recent revival production of "Katy"), said her company is focused on offering students with theater workshops and intensives facilitated by international experts such as Ms. Snelson.

"Higher performance standards mean better actors, better performances," Cruz added.

Besides "Legally Blonde," Snelson has also performed on Broadway in "Annie Get Your Gun," starring Bernadette Peters, and "Sweet Charity," starring Christina Applegate. She also played "Cassie" in the National Tour of "A Chorus Line"; performed in the Broadway National Tours of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," "Showboat," and "Hello, Dolly!"; and played "Susan" in Jonathan Larson's "Tick, Tick...Boom!" She also originated the role of "The Mad Hatter" in Frank Wildhorn's "Wonderland."

Recently, Snelson played "Velma Kelly" in "Chicago" at Maine State Theater and "Sally Bowles" in "Cabaret" at The Napa Valley Opera House.

Snelson was also featured in the film documentary "Every Little Step" and in the major motion pictures "Reefer Madness" and "Across the Universe."

Class fee is PhP8,500 ($200) only.
