The Jersey shore gang is back. No, not Snooki and friends, but the delightful Margate matrons from Barbara Weber's hugely successful Seniors of the Sahara. Now, Sylvie, the lady who unknowingly brought back from the middle east, Eugene, a genie in a teapot, is about to wed him after a courtship cheered on by her three gal pals, Fannie, Mabel and Thelma. There is a fly or a bat in the ointment, for suddenly a witch appears in the senior complex, and no broomstick or hooked nose for this one. Though centuries old, she is sexy and glamorous and determined to have Eugene, her old lover, back. How she goes about this and whether she succeeds or not, involves hilarious situations and complications. An early Halloween treat by one of our own playwrights in residence whose work is being done all over the country.
