By Kaium Khan,

published August 25, 2024

While it keeps things simple, the X-MAKER JOY delivers reliable, fast, and easy 3D printing for creating a variety of toys that kids will love.

"The hand is the visible part of the brain." — Immanuel Kant

Imagination is a powerful force, and with the AOSEED X-MAKER JOY 3D printer, kids can transform their imaginative ideas into reality. This innovative printer, designed specifically for kids, acts as a bridge between thought and creation, turning abstract concepts into tangible objects.

AOSEED 3D Printer Breakdown: Pricing and Where to Get It

When the AOSEED 3D printers launched last year, they were priced at $359. Now, you can get the new JOY Family Pack for just $239.99, directly from AOSEED. It’s the perfect 3D printer for kids, making creativity and learning more accessible than ever and explore our product on amazon.

X-MAKER JOY review: Appearance DIY and Safety Design

One of the coolest features of the X-MAKER JOY 3D printer is the optional DIY Appearance Kits, letting you customize the look of your printer. I even gave mine a fun Mario theme!

This not only enhances the creative experience but also lets kids express their individuality, making the printer truly feel like their own. Whether it’s stickers, color themes, or personal touches, the DIY feature adds a fun and engaging element to the 3D printing process.

Safety is a top priority, which is critical when it comes to 3D printers for kids. The fully enclosed design reduces the risk of burns by keeping hot parts out of reach and contains any potential fumes. The low-temperature nozzle adds another layer of protection, minimizing burn risks even with accidental contact. Plus, it’s certified to meet key safety standards like UL, CE, and FCC. With its thoughtful design, these 3D printers for kids create a safer, worry-free environment, giving parents peace of mind.

Why Choose the X-MAKER JOY? Affordable Innovation for Young Minds

In a world where creativity can be expensive, the X-MAKER JOY is an affordable way for families to embrace innovation. At just $239.99, this 3D printer allows kids to explore their imaginations without breaking the bank.

What makes the X-MAKER JOY special is its great value. Unlike traditional toys that may offer limited fun, this printer sparks endless creativity and learning. Kids can design and create their own toys while developing important skills like problem-solving, spatial awareness, and engineering.

Investing in the X-MAKER JOY means getting a product that grows with your child, offering educational benefits that far exceed the initial cost. With the ability to create customized toys, each child can have unique creations, making the X-MAKER JOY a smart choice for nurturing creativity.

User Experiences: Real Kids, Real Creations with X-MAKER JOY

The X-MAKER JOY truly shines through the experiences of young users. Here are some testimonials from excited creators:

·         Liam, Age 9: "I made a robot that holds my snacks! Watching it print layer by layer is super cool. My friends think it’s awesome, and I can’t wait to make more!"

·          Sophie, Age 10: "I turned my favorite video game character into a real toy! It feels amazing to create my own toys instead of just buying them."

·          Ethan, Age 11: "The DIY kits are so much fun! I gave my printer a space theme with stars and rockets. It feels like my own workshop, and I even made a spaceship for my action figures!"

·          Ava, Age 8: "I love using the app to pick what to make. There are so many choices! My favorite is the unicorn. I printed it, painted it, and now it makes me smile every day!"

X-MAKER App review: Endless Toy Creation Library and Creative Design Apps

The X-MAKER App comes with a fantastic library of original toys, giving you the feel of having your very own toy designer right at your fingertips. Whether you’re selecting unique AOSEED creations or classic favorites, the app's exclusive and diverse database ensures that it’s not just about printing toys—it’s all about unleashing creativity and endless possibilities.

Each toy in the library is a canvas for kids to remix, rebuild, and truly make their own. From mechs to robots and cars, there’s a wide variety of options that gets updated weekly, providing endless possibilities for play and learning with just a click.

For kids eager to dive deeper into design, the app features two advanced creative software options that add precision and complexity. Magic 3D offers a user-friendly way to create intricate designs by combining predefined shapes, making geometry fun and accessible. Its intuitive interface lets users bring their ideas to life effortlessly. Meanwhile, Art 3D acts as a digital sculpting tool, mimicking the hands-on experience of molding clay. This software encourages young creators with advanced skills to express their artistic visions freely, allowing their projects to be shaped and refined in a highly creative environment. With these two powerful software options and ongoing courses from Explore, the X-MAKER JOY ensures that inspiration is always within reach.

X-MAKER JOY’s Printing: Timelapse and Printing Accuracy

The X-MAKER JOY 3D printer enhances the printing experience for kids with its high-resolution, built-in camera that automatically generates time-lapse videos of each print. These engaging clips offer a fascinating visual journey from start to finish, capturing every step of the creation process and providing kids with a tangible record of their hard work, boosting their sense of accomplishment and pride.

This innovation minimizes downtime, allowing creativity to flow without interruption. With its leveling-free feature, the X-MAKER JOY ensures flawless execution, achieving rapid print speeds of up to 300mm/s and precision down to 0.05mm. Whether it's intricate details or sharp edges, this level of accuracy guarantees that every creative project turns out just as envisioned, inspiring confidence in every print.

X-MAKER JOY 3D Printer review: Final Thoughts

I love my X-MAKER JOY, probably because it is the most expensive toy I own, but also because it really fulfills a lot of my creative fantasies. To be honest, even though the price is very favorable compared to many other printers, spending this amount of money on a “toy” is still a luxury in this economic climate. But X-MAKER JOY has the added point of making it worth buying, which is that it makes customization less out of reach and more within reach of my own imagination.

X-MAKER JOY is an exciting hands-on tool for home, designed to introduce us to the world of 3D printing in a fun and engaging way. It transforms the 3D printing process into an interactive experience, making it not just a machine but part of a creative journey.

That said, using it doesn't come without a learning curve. Occasional glitches are still part of the experience. However, for those eager to bring their ideas to life and gain hands-on experience, the X-MAKER JOY offers a balanced mix of creativity and functionality. It may not replace traditional toys such as LEGO, but it certainly adds a new dimension to imaginative play.
