The frivolously fashionable Emperor and his opinionated daughter Sam just can’t get along. But with the help of some colorful characters and not-so-colorful threads, the two come to see themselves – and appreciate each other – for the first time. This family musical based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale promises to warm the hearts of children and adults alike!

Cast and Creative team for The Emperor's New Clothes at Carlisle Theatre

Cast

Anthony J. Geraci

Lord Vince
Anthony J Geraci is delighted to return to the Carlisle Theater, this time as Lord Vince. It is always fun to be on the very first stage he ever performed community theater on, way back in 2006 when he played Mobster #2 in Kiss Me Kate. You might have seen him in Urinetown as Officer Barrel, or at the Little Theater of Mechanicsburg acting in or directing a number of productions over the past two decades. Now and forever he would like to thank his amazing wife, Mary, without whom he would be forever lost in a dark pit of despair. His kid, Leo, is pretty cool too.

Michael D. Griesemer

The Emperor
Michael Griesemer has been performing at the Carlisle Theatre since 2015’s Schoolhouse Rock Live. His last performance, besides entertaining the Adult Prom with Hall Pass Hero (Hallpasshero.com), was 2023’s Urinetown playing the role of Officer Lockstock. Michael can also be found singing lead for the band DeepSpace90s (DeepSpace90s.com), based out of Lancaster. Outside of the theatre, he works for the state as a plant inspector. Michael lives locally with his beautiful wife Megan, adorable daughter Juniper, and two pups Toby and Reece.

Dave Lang

Oversecretary
Dave Lang is enjoying the opportunity to be a bit silly and childish (well, sillier and MORE childish). This is his 15th production at Carlisle Theatre and his 58th production overall. Dave has also performed locally at Hershey Area Playhouse, Upstart Arts, Forge Theater, Gettysburg Community Theater, The Micro Theatre at Broadway Tavern, and Lebanon Community Theater. He enjoys competitive ping-pong and is an avid board gamer. Dave studies vocal performance at Roger Lentz Studio.

Russ Moore

Intersecretary
Russ is really excited to be returning to the Players on High Stage in this production of "The Emperor's New Clothes". This is his eighth performance with PoH. He was previously seen as Uncle Dan in The "Dying for a Slice" Murder Mystery, Old Man Strong in "Urinetown", the toga-wearing Mr. De Pinna in "You Can't Take it With You", Topper in "A Steampunk Christmas Carol" (2022 & 2023), Baltus Van Tassel in the "Legend of Sleepy Hollow", and multiple small roles in "The Secret Garden". Other credits include Doody in "Grease" for the Wentworth Institute of Technology Theater Troupe, as well as performing in the ensemble for the Regal Players performance of "Oklahoma" in Waltham, MA. Additional credits include ensemble roles in Godspell, Mame, and The Boy Friend with the Arlington High School Drama Club. He would like to thank the entire cast and crew of The Emperor's New Clothes for their dedication and all the zaniness and fun that was brought to all the rehearsals. He would also like to thank his wife Amanda and children Cathryn, Aaron, and Abigail for all of their love and support. He couldn't have done it without you.

This rising high school senior also performs in her high school’s coffeehouse program, Shakespeare troupe, and occasionally joins sings with Cantate Carlisle. In whatever free time she may have, Alyanna likes to make art, journal, and hang out with her friends. Alyanna would like to thank her voice teacher, Jennifer Neslund, for always pushing her in her lessons, as well as her mom, and Greta (her best friend) for getting her through everything.
