After his car crashes in a blizzard in a mountainous region unknown to him, a traveling businessman accepts welcoming hospitality at a remote house perched on a cliff. Little does he suspect that the initial encounter with his host, a genial, well-mannered older gentleman, will lead to a chain of events that will change his life forever. This atmospheric psychological thriller effectively melds horror and black humor with philosophical probing of the deeper questions of crime, guilt, and punishment.
