Sohrab is Bumbling Foriegner presents an absurdist clown solo by Iranian artist Sohrab Haghverdi, exploring the complexities of identity and the immigrant experience through comedy. As he grapples with the possibility of deportation, Sohrab engages the audience with humorous scenarios, including a refusal to drink his own urine, while challenging stereotypes of the 'innocent immigrant.' Directed by Mason and Benjamin Rosenthal, this performance offers a unique perspective on being a foreigner in America. The show will be featured at Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture during the Philadelphia Fringe Festival from September 16 to September 22, 2024.
