Amber Hongsermeier/Dancers presents their latest work, Sanctuary, at Chi Movement Arts Center as part of the 2024 Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Co-created and performed by Amber Hongsermeier along with collaborators India Scott, Shelby Bakota, Aria Iuso, and Hannah Misangyi, this multidisciplinary performance explores the themes of generational trauma and familial dysfunction through a lens of personal and collective consciousness. The piece reflects on how cultural identity and personal experiences influence the journey of healing and breaking ancestral legacies. Sanctuary runs for a limited engagement on September 28th and 29th, 2024.
