MusiCoLab's November New Works Showcase presents six original musical theater pieces, featuring local writing teams. Highlights include Charlie Gilbert's *The Student Princess*, a reimagining of a classic operetta, and Chad Gorn's *Call Me Velma*, which tells the story of the real-life inspiration behind the character from Chicago. The showcase will feature ten-minute excerpts from each work, performed by a talented ensemble including Sydney Banks, Rachel Brennan, and Kennedy Kelly. This event aims to highlight both emerging talents and established voices in the Philadelphia musical theater scene.
