Journey Arts presents Make Ready Again, an original work by Jamaican-American dancer Marguerite Hemmings. Running from December 5 to 7, this performance combines dance, storytelling, and music, exploring themes of reparations and the African Diaspora. Hemmings will engage in a live process of confronting their personal history through movement and sound, accompanied by musicians from the West Philadelphia collective Omar’s Hat, along with local talents T’ Wom, Jonill, Lee Clarke, and Daniel Woods. This performance signifies Journey Arts’ commitment to presenting thought-provoking and complex productions in its 22nd season.
