Rising star jazz saxophonist Erena Terakubo simply steals the show. She’s topped the charts in her native Japan, was awarded the prestigious presidential scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music and has already worked with a veritable who’s who in jazz, including Christian McBride, Kenny Barron and Ron Carter. Now, Terakubo brings her classic bebop sound to Philadelphia for the first time, joined by Akiko Tsuruga (organ), Paul Bollenback (guitar) and Fukushi Tainaka (drums).
Penn Live Arts is at Annenberg Center, 3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.
