In this poignant piece, the Up & Rising Collective presents Damned Without Vision, an abolitionist experiment that explores alternatives to policing and incarceration. Using a blend of stage combat, poetry, satire, and real-life narratives, the performance challenges societal norms and encourages audiences to envision a community freed from systemic oppression. Current and recent graduates from The Pennsylvania State University, including PJ Witkowski, Shane Troxell, Lauren McKee, and others, bring this devised work to life at the Yellow Bicycle Theatre during the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. The show aims to reclaim humanity and spark meaningful dialogues about community safety and justice.
