Walnut Street Theatre will host its 19th Annual Live and Silent Auction, the All Hallows Eve Masque'd Auction on October 26th. America's Oldest Theatre will be filled with ghost stories and spirits galore on this haunted night where the mysterious and eerie can occur. Guests of the Masque'd Auction will be invited to bid on items including a luxury vacation at the Chateau de La Napoule near Cannes, France, luxury vacations, wine country tours, and even access to the Walnut's renowned costume collection for a Halloween or a special New Year's Eve outfit, with proceeds benefitting the Walnut's Education Department.

Later in the evening, guests will participate in a live auction led by Sam Freemen of Freeman's Auctioneers & Appraisers (America's oldest auction house) and Walnut favorite, Frank Ferrante. Guests will also enjoy a special preview of songs from Matilda performed by cast members of Walnut's spectacular holiday production. The event will take place on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Walnut Street Theatre. The Silent Auction will begin at 6:00pm, followed by a Live Auction at 8:00pm.

Guests attending the All Hallows' Eve Masque'd Auction will be treated to delicious hors d'oeuvres, craft beers from Iron Hill Brewery, and spirit tastings from local distilleries. To enhance the mysterious and spooky atmosphere of "All Hallows' Eve," the Déjà Vu Paranormal Society will be present to offer ghost tours and stories throughout the evening. Guests can also play exciting games and get a head start on holiday shopping. With over two hundred wonderful items available, guests are sure to find something for everyone on their list.

The evening's proceeds will benefit the award-winning education and outreach programs created by the Walnut's Education Department. The impressive programs include the Touring Outreach Company, which uses theatre to broach important social issues with students at local schools; the Adopt-a-School program, a multi-year partnership with three inner-city Philadelphia schools that integrates dramatic techniques into classroom curriculums as an engaging approach to effectively reach all students; the Professional Apprentice program, which provides hands-on training for young theatre professionals; and the Walnut Street Theatre School, which offers classes for children, teens and adults year-round. With support from individuals in the community, an unprecedented 172,900 local students and families participated in the Walnut's various educational programs last year alone.

All Hallows' Eve Masque'd Auction tickets are $35. Join the Walnut for a night of fun and spine-tingling excitement while making a positive impact on the future of children in Philadelphia and the surrounding communities through your support of the Walnut Street Theatre's Education Department.
