On Friday, February 19, 2010 from 6:00-9:00pm will be an updated Victorian-type Salon at the Chestnut Hill home of B. Someday Board President Marne Castillo. The Salon will be a fundraiser to help support the upcoming May production of GRAVEDIGGER: The Plays of Mark Borkowski. The address for this Happy Hour Salon is 35 Rex Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118 in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia. The location is close to the R7 train line. The cost for the fundraiser is a $20.00 donation and can be purchased at the door or in advance online at www.walkingfishtheatre.com. There is no handling fee.

There will be myriad entertainment, both of today and yesteryear. The actor and playwright, Mark Borkowski will speak about his growing up on the streets of Kensington in the 1960s and 70s and how it informed his playwriting. Scenes from his plays will be read including "The Mutilation of Saint Barbara" and "A Gravedigger's Tale," based on a real life gravedigger Mr Borkowski befriended in his youth.

Additional entertainment will include live harp music by Melissa Santangelo of The Oubliette Ensemble and tarot card reading. The evening will be hosted by bon vivant Monsieur Thujone of The Absinthe Drinkers. The $20.00 ticket price will include hors d'oeuvres from local Chestnut Hill eateries, beer from Palm Imports and wine.

There will be several interesting items and services for raffle including a dinner and theatrical entertainment for up to four guests in your home with Artistic Directors of B. Someday Productions, Stan Heleva and Michelle Pauls, and free theatre tickets with a William Shakespeare impersonator (Philadelphia actor Mark Knight). All proceeds from the event will benefit B. Someday Productions, a 501-c-3 non-profit theatre company with residence at Walking Fish Theatre in Kensington.
