'Treasure Island' Musical Debuts at The Fulton, PA with Herrera

The Fulton is proud to present the world premiere of Treasure Island: A Musical Adventure, with music by Marc Robin and book and lyrics by Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark.  The show opens on March 6, 2008 and runs through March 22.

"Before there was Captain Jack Sparrow, there was Long John Silver—one of the slyest and wiliest rogues ever to sail the seas.  And soon, Silver, Billy Bones, Jim Hawkins and the rest of the cast of one the best-loved stories in the English language will be boarding the Fulton stage," explain press notes, "The play tells the story of fatherless Jim Hawkins who embarks on an epic adventure of discovery, daring and double crosses, as Jim matches wits with Long John Silver, the leader of the mutinous crew."

Led by the Tony nominated Broadway actor John Herrera (Drood, Evita, 1776, In The Heights) as Long John Silver and Directed by 16-time Joseph Jefferson Award winning director Marc Robin, with musical direction and orchestrations by Ron Barnett,  the cast includes Dale Bensen as Squire Trelawney; Curt Dale Clark as Dr. Livesey; Charles Abbott (Cabaret)  as Ben Gunn ; John Charles Kelly (The Light in the Piazza) as Captain Smollett; Dwelvan David as Billy Bones and introducing Rick Desloge and Dan Scott who will be sharing the role of Jim Hawkins.

The rest of the ensemble include Christopher Dickerson as Tom Morgan; Randall Frizado as Redruth; William Hartery as George Merry; Erik Hogan as Mr. McCladry, Joe Jackson as Mr. Joyce; Matthew Kernisky as Israel Hands; Adam Levinskas as Abraham Gray; Robert Rokicki as Mr. Alan; Zak Rissinger as Mr. O'Brien; George Andrew Wolff as Mr. Arrow and Hal Yudoff as Mr. Hunter.

The creative team includes Robert Klingelhoffer (Sets), Paul Black (Lights) , Beth Dunkleberger (Costumes) , Anthony Laskoskie Jr. (Make-up and wigs); John Bellamo (Fight Choreography), Debra Dunlop (Props);  David Tempe (Sound) and Patti Garwood (Musical transcriptions.)
