Actor/Playwright Jerry Lacy comes to Bucks County, PA for the World Premiere of his comedy, "A Reunion of Sorts."
Town and Country Players (T&C), a local community theater group based in Buckingham, PA, is proud to announce that the first play in their Signature Series will be "A Reunion of Sorts" by Jerry Lacy. T&C's Signature Series celebrates original theatrical works with the objective of bringing new, original, and enjoyable stage offerings to Bucks County. "A Reunion of Sorts" is a comedy written by Jerry Lacy, best known as an actor on the TV series Dark Shadows; on Broadway and in film for Woody Allen's "Play it Again, Sam," and numerous other film and television appearances.
Lacy's play centers on the characters of Nick and Ted, golden-aged friends who have been pals for most of their lives. Ted is happily married to Gwen, but Nick is divorced and worried that he will spend his final days alone and unloved. The sudden reappearance of a mutual girlfriend from thirty years ago sends them into a tizzy, and reawakens their youthful rivalry. When the gorgeous French beauty shows up at the front door, the situation spirals out of control. Hilarity ensues as the boys drink, argue, and fend off the nosy next door neighbor who is spying on them.
