If you feel it's for real, then theater lovers, you won't want to miss "Bye Bye Birdie," next up on the Town and Country Players stage. This summer musical blockbuster, with book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams, and music by Charles Strouse, comes alive at the historic theatre, directed by Nancy Ridgeway, produced by John Zimmerman, with musical direction by Joe Nappi.

Grab your tickets while you can. This hit that won a Tony in 1960, paid homage to the gyrations of teen crooner Elvis Presley, who joined the army in 1957. The Broadway production earned a Tony in 1960 and led to a film version three years later. Now, "Bye Bye Birdie" is a timeless as ever, the perfect summer break for the whole family!

About to enter the army, rock star and heartthrob Conrad Birdie, has the historically televised moment of bestowing his last publicity kiss upon a starry-eyed fan before a nationwide audience on The Ed Sullivan Show. Sound familiar? What follows next between the Peterson and Macafee family and the city they live in is nothing less than mayhem, a series of romantic complications, with such unforgettable tunes as "Put On A Happy Face", "A Lot of Livin' To Do", "One Last Kiss", the riotous lament of parents with teenagers "What's The Matter With Kids Today?," and, the theme song, "Bye Bye Birdie."

Lead members of the cast include John Neuman as Albert Peterson; Jessica Laynor as Rose Alvarez; Dana-Joy Carducci as Kim Macafee; Patrick Brown as Conrad Birdie; Valerie Sharper as Mrs. Mae Peterson; Kim O'Byrne-Rozman as Mrs. Doris Macafee; Peter Plante as Mr. Harry Macafee; Ben McLaughlin as Randolf Macafee; Kallie Cooper as Ursula Merkle; Deb Kleeman as Mrs. Merkle; Jimmy McInnis as Hugo Peabody; Joe Landy as the Mayor; and, Anne Romanowski as the Mayor's Wife, and an unforgettable ensemble of characters including tom McFarland, Caitlin Aloia, Pavel Rozman, Rachel Elder, Fred Conover, Nora Krupp, Lena Gallagher, Jade Lin Hebling, Marlee Cooper, Brandon Kwak, Roger Kuna, Kevin Williams, Lars Odland, Hilton Gieseke, Robert Moses and Dave Sharper.
