It Could Be Any One of Us opens June 28, 2011
The murder mystery is back by popular demand at Totem Pole Playhouse!
After two years without a mystery on the calendar, Artistic Director Ray Ficca is presenting Alan Ayckbourn's raucous "whodunit" It Could Be Any One of Us and this isn't just any old mystery. Mr. Ficca pored over more than 20 scripts to find this perfect gem for the audiences of Caledonia; in fact he calls it, "the most exciting mystery I've read in years." It Could Be Any One of Us has never been seen before on Totem Pole's stage and is guaranteed to keep you guessing until the curtain falls. And not just you - the cast doesn't know who the murderer is either!
There are three different endings to this thriller and the identity of the killer is only revealed to the actors during the first act when they play a card game where one of them will receive the killer card. See if you can read their poker faces as they discover their fate right before your eyes. In fact, you may want to see this one more than once to see all three possible murderers found out.
In It Could Be Any One of Us, a frustrated British composer reveals to his family that he has changed his will. He plans to leave the family's estate and all of their belongings to a beloved piano student, leaving the family penniless. Will the seemingly innocent new heiress attempt foul play to gain her inheritance early or will a family member exact revenge on the newcomer? And once the deed is done, can an amateur detective solve the mystery before the killer strikes again? Come see for yourself at Totem Pole Playhouse!
The post-show discussion where the audience joins the cast and crew after the curtain rings down is scheduled for Thursday, June 29th.
It Could Be Any One of Us runs June 28th - July 10th. It is sponsored by The Orchards and media sponsor Main Line Broadcasting.
