Theatre Horizon Now Offering Private Acting And Voice Lessons Image Theatre Horizon, a professional theatre company located in Norristown, PA, is offering students ages 10 and up the opportunity to train with professional performers and directors in a unique one-on-one setting.

The award-winning company is proud to announce their new Private and Small Group Lessons, perfect for performers of any skill level. Through personalized curriculum and instruction, private lessons allow a student to focus on improving their skills and confidence beyond what is possible in a typical group class setting. Theatre Horizon's goal is to encourage students to reach their potential both as performers and in their everyday lives. The company's teaching artists are working actors and directors involved with shows in the greater Philadelphia Area. They are also committed teachers with years of arts education experience in both public and private settings.

Acting lessons focus on building performance skills through monologue work. Students learn how to create a character and analyze a text. Lessons will focus on audition techniques so students gain the confidence to walk into an audition room and perform their best. Voice lessons teach students the techniques for singing in a healthy manner. Students will work on range, breath support, proper vocal placement, and musicality. They will be introduced to songs that allow them to perform their best in an audition or solo performance setting. Full details on the lessons are below. Theatre Horizon brings Philadelphia's finest professional actors and artists to Norristown to present compelling, contemporary theatre. Founded in 2005, Theatre Horizon has become a lauded contributor to the arts in Montgomery County, staging a critically-acclaimed season annually, reaching over 950 children each year through our drama classes and camps, and pioneering an autism drama program that inspires imagination and social development in individuals on the autism spectrum. These programs are the building blocks of our Theatre Horizon community in which all participants are encouraged to grow. Our offerings provide opportunities to understand unfamiliar perspectives, discuss common struggles, and simply enjoy a good story together. We produce professional productions of thoughtful and inspiring plays and musicals.

"Top-quality Theater is no longer confined to Center City," proclaimed the Philadelphia Inquirer when we opened our new venue in 2012. In recognition of our work, Theatre Horizon was recently awarded a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts and received the American Theatre Wing's National Theatre Company Award-one of only twelve companies in the nation to be honored with this prestigious award from the organization that presents the Tonys each year. We invite you to join us for a performance and discover Theatre Horizon yourself. More at theatrehorizon.org.
