Nick has always lived near his Italian grandparents – close enough for them to feed him dinner every Sunday. They can't understand why the rest of the family has moved up and out. So, how will they react when they learn their grandson plans to do the same? The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater has the answer, for audiences that go Over the River and Through the Woods – opening March 16th.
When Nick breaks the news of his impending departure, it incites the grandparents to a desperate plot involving a bewildered Irish girl and lots of food.
Director Kristy Boyer Chen of Wallingford cast six sactors to bring these characters to life: Matthew Prince and Ann Wood of Media, Dan Gudema of Devon, Susan Triggiani of Springfield, Louis Wheeler of Clifton Heights and Michelle Pascetta of Folsom.
There will be a community discussion following the matinee performance on Sunday, March 18th. Any ticket holders who wish to do so can remain following the performance and chat with the actors and production staff.
