The Players Club of Swarthmore concludes its 2017-18 Children's Theater Series with the classic tale Alice in Wonderland Aug. 11 and 18 at 11am and 3pm and Aug. 12 and 19 at 11am at Players Club of Swarthmore, 614 Fairview Ave., in Swarthmore. Visit www.pcstheater.org to buy tickets in advance.
Directed by Heather Timberman and written by Eric Humble, Alice In Wonderland follows the curious Alice as she chases the White Rabbit into the rabbit hole and becomes involved in a madcap and deliciously satiric series of wild adventures immortalized in stories by Lewis Carroll. Alice travels through an off-kilter world with the help of a Cheshire Cat, an astute Caterpillar, and a righteous Humpty Dumpty. Playing cards hold court, mad tea parties are the norm, and nothing is as it seems in this land where whimsy and wordplay are the order of the day. Will Alice be able to find her footing in this bizarre place? More importantly, will she ever figure out how to get home?
The cast includes several regional grown-up players including Amanda Paul (Media), Eric Jackson (Wallingford), Cara Nardone (Exton), Colette Scorzetti (Drexel Hill), and Jake Metzger (Media).
