Get ready State College. The Singing Lions are back- and this time they're better than ever! On Saturday, January 29, the Penn State Singing Lions will take to the stage for their most anticipated show of the year, NO JAZZ HANDS.  Don't miss Penn State's only show choir as they check all cheesiness at the door for this one night only cabaret, which will be held at 7:30pm at Penn State's Pavilion Theatre.  Tickets for the performance are only $4.99 and can be purchased at the door.

In this first performance of the Spring 2011 semester, the Singing Lions will pay homage to some of musical theatre's edgiest new composers by singing works by: Joe Iconis, Boby Cronin, Ryan Scott Oliver, Kerrigan and Lowdermilk, and many more!

Performers featured in the cabaret include: Lauren Lynch, John Schmidt, Liz Hartigan, Jessie Leo, Stephen Millett, Andrew Torchia, Brian Poole, Sarah Sewcheck, Catherine DeLuce, Saeed Manley, Liam Fennecken, Kevin Bonacci, Josie Farinelli, Meredith Moore, Tyler Segalla, Jenny Shi, Annelise Gaus, Alex Gallego, Tanya Cuadra, Drew Bastian, and John Livingston.

The Singing Lions is a performance ensemble that has been a part of Penn State's University Park campus for 25 years. Originally founded under the School of Music as the "Penn State Pop Choir," the Singing Lions is now a student run organization. The group is composed of performers, musicians, and sound technicians.

The repertoire consists of music arranged for mixed voices, including jazz, Broadway, and pop. Along with choreographed dance routines, this unique ensemble provides exciting and energy-packed shows! The group performs several times throughout the year at a variety of venues. Aside from winter and spring concerts on campus, the group travels into the Penn State community and beyond for organizations such as PSU Alumni clubs, high school workshops, and an annual spring tour!

The Singing Lions can also be seen outside Family Clothesline every Saturday for PSU home football games. This group loves to perform and enjoys providing professional musical entertainment while serving as "Penn State's Singing Ambassadors."
