The Drama Group's fall show is "The Taming of the Shrew" by William Shakespeare. Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings, November 12 to 27, at 8:00 pm, at The First United Methodist Church of Germantown, 6001 Germantown Avenue, between High Street and Walnut Lane.

You know the plot. Lucentio, Hortensio and Gremio all want to marry sweet, young Bianca; and no one wants to marry her headstrong, older sister Katharina. But their mother (yes, mother!) Baptista has dictated that Bianca may not marry until Kate has a husband. Along comes the swaggering
and arrogant Petruchio who accepts the challenge of taming the shrewish Kate. It's all very misogynistic. But exactly who is doing the taming and who is being tamed? And who is being fooled by whom? Join The Drama Group for a round of matrimonial fun and games in warm and sunny Padua.

The cast of "The Taming of the Shrew" includes Angela Anderson, Zac Anderson, Robert Bauer, Clinton Cleaver, Kyle Paul Dandridge, David DelBianco, Kevin Fennell, Tei Jackson, Marc C. Johnson, Wayne Snover, Robert Toczek and Janet Wasser. Wayne Snover is directing,

Tickets for "The Taming of the Shrew" are $15.00 and can be purchased at the door. On opening night, Friday, November 12, every ticket purchased will admit two people. A post-show discussion will be held following the
performance on Friday, November 19. For more information about "The Taming of the Shrew" or to learn more about The Drama Group's proud 30 year history in Northwest Philadelphia, visit www.thedramagroup.org.
