Cam Anthony has been busy working on his career in the past several months, at the direction of his Detroit-based artist management team, Project Producers, which is owned by music manager, Toya Hankins. Over the past 18 months that he has been working with Project Producers, Cam has been on an accelerated course in artist development, including: developing new music; shooting full-length professional music videos; studio sessions with industry-leading producers; performances & appearances; photo shoots; media training sessions and vocal & choreography lessons.
"We are beyond thrilled to introduce Cam Anthony's new original music this Friday!" said Hankins. "Being able to celebrate this historic event in his career, on the same day as his 15th birthday, is such a unique opportunity, and we look forward to sharing the occasion alongside Cam's family and friends in Philadelphia. We encourage everyone to come out for an evening of fun, games and live performances!"
Cam took the stage at his first large-scale concert in June 2016, opening for Motown Artist KEM, Lalah Hathaway and Avery Sunshine at the 6,000-seat capacity Chene Park Amphitheater in Detroit, Michigan.
In April 2016, Cam released his first full-length conceptual music video, an original rendition of the One Direction song, "If I Could Fly." The video can be viewed on the DreamWorksTV YouTube channel playlist, "Songs That Stick." In July, Cam released his second full-length video in conjunction with DreamWorksTV, with an original cover of Lukas Graham's "7 Years." The original versions of both songs were arranged and produced by legendary producer, Rex Rideout.
"I've worked with some of the best vocalists in music," said legendary music producer and A&R executive Rideout. "Cam, who is not even 15 years old yet, has the focus, the instinct and most importantly, the emotion of singers who are twice his age. When he sings, he's not just copying someone else...the soul in his voice is surprisingly authentic. Pretty amazing!!!"
