York Little Theatre is holding auditions on June 22 and 23, at 6:30 p.m., for all roles in their upcoming production of The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor to run August 14 - 23, 2009.
The Seven Voyages of Sinbad the Sailor, directed by Melissa and Mary McCleary, is the final production in YLT's 2008-2009 rabbittransit children's series which includes magical productions for the whole family, performed by casts of all ages.
The story of Sinbad is a journey of adventure and discovery as Sinbad, a Persian trader valuing cleverness above all else, uses his wits and humor to challenge hideous one-eyed giants, escape gigantic island monsters, outwit monstrous birds, and always return home to his family, richer and wiser. This life odyssey challenges him to grow with each step as he changes from Sinbad the Horseman to Sinbad the Sailor.
Auditioners should come dressed comfortably and prepared to read from the "Sinbad" script. Resumes and headshots are welcome but not required. Appointments are recommended but not required.
