Summer Musicale Series Closes With 'Lights Up On Broadway,' 8/11-21

The Summer Musicale series concludes on a high note with Lights Up On Broadway on August 11-21. Keith Baker and the BRT Band are joined by BRT veterans Kim Carson, Niffer Clarke, David Edwards, John Smitherman, Keith Spencer, and Lindsay Roberts performing hits from such favorite musicals as The Producers, The Music Man, Showboat and more. With songs like Who Can I Turn To, When You Got It Flaunt It, Seventy-Six Trombones, ‘Til There Was You, and Can't Help Lovin' That Man of Mine.

Opening Thursday, August 11 at 8:00 PM, performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM; matinees at 3:00 PM; and Wednesday, August 17, Thursday, August 18 and Saturday, August 20 matinees at 2:00 PM. Single tickets start at $33 and are available by calling the BRT Box Office at 215-785-0100 or visiting brtstage.org. Bristol Riverside Theatre is located at 120 Radcliffe Street in Bristol, PA.

"Our Broadway programs are always a special hit of the summer. With fabulous performers, a red-hot band, and pulsating rhythms which will have audience snapping their fingers - who could ask for anything more!" said BRT Artistic Director Keith Baker.

Subscriptions are available for Bristol Riverside Theatre's 25th Anniversary season featuring Barrymore by William Luce, Gypsy with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Laurents, A Raw Space by Jon Marans, Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling, and Rent by Jonathan Larson.

Tickets are also available for BRT's special performances by Donny McCluskey (September 9 and 10), Larry Gatlin (September 16 and 18), Chita Rivera (September 23-25), Steve Solomon in My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish and I'm in Therapy (November 2-6), Pam Peterson (November 11-13), Pinkalicious, The Musical (February 25-26), Defending the Caveman (February 29-March 4), and Ben Vereen (April 20-22).

Since 1986, BRT has brought consistently acclaimed professional theatre to Bucks County and maintained a long-term commitment to finding and developing new plays. The theatre is the recipient of over 60 Barrymore Award nominations for Excellence in Theatre, given annually by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. In addition to its mainstage productions, the theatre serves as a cultural hub for the community, with such programs as children's theatre, community concerts and exhibitions of local visual arts. Currently under the direction of Artistic Director Keith Baker, Founding Director Susan D. Atkinson, and Managing Director, Amy Kaissar, BRT is in its 24th season.
