Lee Rocker made his mark singing, playing, standing on, spinning and rocking his giant upright bass in the legendary music group The Stray Cats. The Grammy-nominee brings his unique sound to the State Theatre for a solo show on Friday, February 3rd.

Show time is 7:30PM. Tickets are $36 & $26 and can be purchased by visiting the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE, 610.252.3132 or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by 99.9 The Hawk.

Founded by Rocker, Brian Setzer, and Slim Jim Phantom, The Stray Cats sold 10+ million records and secured their place in Rock 'n Roll history with "Stray Cat Strut", "Sexy and Seventeen" and "Rock this Town" (cited by The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 500 most important songs in Rock). The Stray Cats remain a radio staple, were music video pioneers at the infancy of MTV, and repeatedly brought rockabilly music to the top of the charts.

In addition to the Stray Cats, Rocker is a Grammy-nominated slap bass player and a member of the Bass Player Hall of Fame. Over the years, Lee Rocker played or recorded with numerous musical architects and pioneers, including Carl Perkins, Scotty Moore, Wanda Jackson, Levon Helm, as well as George Harison, Ringo Starr and others. From the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, to appearing on Saturday Night Live, to headlining the US Festival, touring with the Rolling Stones and starring in the Broadway show Million Dollar Quartet, Lee Rocker has seen and done it all!

Along with Stray Cats favorites, Rocker will also play selections from his solo recordings "The Cover Sessions" and "Night Train to Memphis." The songs on "Night Train to Memphis" are classic's from the early days of rock with the "Stray Cat, Lee Rocker" stamp on them. Rocker recorded this disc in a similar way as they did back at Sun Studio, the birthplace of rockabilly, relying on spirit, energy and passion, not on studio tricks and gimmicks.
