Steve Martin first rose to national prominence in the 1970s performing absurdist comedy routines and making frequent appearances on NBC's 'Saturday Night Live.' Branching out from stand-up comedy in the early '80s, Martin became a successful film actor and musician, eventually earning Emmy, Grammy and American Comedy Awards. His banjo and bluegrass music has earned him numerous accolades - including a 2003 Grammy Award for Best Country Performance and, most recently, a Best Bluegrass Album Grammy for his 2009 solo debut, 'The Crow.' The Steep Canyon Rangers, from Asheville, NC, have built a reputation as an engaging acoustic quintet seasoned by constant touring. The Rangers were named Emerging Artist of the Year in 2006 at the IBMA awards ceremony in Nashville, TN, and the group has been regularly featured on the Grand Ole Opry, as well as major U.S. Bluegrass and Americana music festivals.
