State Theatre 2017 Announces End Of Year Campaign Image

The non-profit State Theatre Center for the Arts in Easton announces the 2017 Year End Giving Campaign - Here's to 90 More! - reaching out to the community for donations to support upgrading its current Gallery space into a flexible, stand-alone performance, education and hospitality space. With financial support, the Center for the Arts can create a free-standing performance and rental space, as well as an improved patron comfort area on show nights, and so much more.

With its high ceilings, separate entrance and square footage, it will play an important role in the historic theatre's "next 90 years," but improvements are needed to realize its potential, most notably HVAC improvements and ADA compliant restrooms.

"Our beautiful gallery space is highly desired for meetings, parties and performances. The space is fabulous with its high ceilings, large windows, and its own entrance to the building," comments Shelley Brown, President & CEO of the State Theatre. "What is lacks is restrooms. With that addition, we will be able to use the space more efficiently when the building is open, and use it on its own when the rest of the complex is closed. This will enable us to do more, and add non-show-related revenue to the bottom line."

The goal of public phase for the 2017 Here's to 90 More! Campaign is $42,000.

Community members who contribute a tax-deductible gift of $25 or more will receive a State Theatre magnet. For a contribution of $150 or more by December 20, we will put your name on our marquee, along with our generous supporters of this project, throughout the week of December 24 - January 1.

Tax Deductible Contributions can be made to: State Theatre Here's to 90 More Campaign, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, PA 18042 or online at www.statetheatre.org

Past successful campaigns have resulted in improvements to the historic theatre's curtain, roof, interior plaster and lighting.
