The State Theater Center for the Arts will be hosting an exhibit of works by members of the Arts Community of Easton in the Brown-Daub Gallery from September 17th, 2011 through November 27, 2011. The ACE Annual Group Show highlights the work of ACE members whose works encompass painting, photography, fiber, jewelry and mixed media. Some of the ACE artists exhibiting are: Nancy Bossert, Ben Gilmore, Isadore LaDuca, Pamelee LaDuca, Charles Hanson, Howard McGinn, Robert Noonan, Kim Robertson and Cynthia Underhill. Work by the ACE members incorporates traditional genre painting as well as modern and abstract styles and is an exquisite snapshot of the talent and diversity of the arts in Easton and surrounding areas. This year's show juror is Kathryn Burke, Director of the Muhlenberg Art Galleries, Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA.

Please join us at the opening reception for this wonderful exhibit on Friday, October 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the public is invited. Awards will be presented at 7:15 p.m. The Brown-Daub Gallery is open 90 minutes prior to most main stage State Theatre performances and is located on the corner of 5th & Northampton streets.

ACE creates opportunities which invite community involvement, and presents educational opportunities by organizing exhibitions, classes and workshops, an annual studio tour, and public mural projects. ACE also initiates and participates in area activities which enrich the artistic life of the community, working with the community, and underserved groups identified by local agencies. ACE recognizes that a thriving community of artists is essential to accomplishing these goals, thus fosters artists in education and professional development and provides a venue for communication with peers, schools, arts organizations, and local government. The opening will be followed by a State Theatre performance of The Midtown Men at 8 PM.
