Star of the Day Productions, LLC. announces its 2016 season at McCoole's Arts & Events Place set to run from March 18 through December 18 of 2016. Three family series productions, three Main Stage productions, Shakespeare in the Park, and 2 special events will take place in the 183 seat theater space located on Main St in Quakertown.
Opening the season on March 18th is the Family Series Production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown to be performed March 18-20, 2016 followed by Jason Robert Brown's 13: The Musical June 24-26, 2016, Seussical The Musical, Jr. August 26-28, 2016. There will also be a Halloween themed original musical written and produced by the repertory members of Star of the Day to be presented October 28-30, 2016.
Kicking off the Star of the Day Main Stage series is Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street May 6-21, followed by Andrew Lippa's Big Fish The Musical September 23 - October 8. Closing out the season is Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical spectacular Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat December 2-17.
The company will also present two special events during the year. A...My Name is Alice which will be a one weekend only event to raise money to support programs that empower young girls and the 2nd Annual Gala and 2017 Season Reveal on Saturday, November 19, 2016.
They will also offer a 3 week Theater Camp August 1 - 19, 2016 that will culminate in the summer family series production ofSeussical The Musical, Jr. Enrollment for camp will open March 1, 2016.
