The State Theatre continues its music series, Stage on Stage, where the bands and fans share the stage. The series returns with two shows in February featuring six bands in total. The State Theatre main stage will be transformed into a "club" atmosphere, with the band and the audience both on stage. Cash bar will also be available on stage.

Saturday, February 9, 2019 is a night of Americana/Folk/Bluegrass featuring Honeysuckle, Jackson Pines and Pentley Holmes.
Stage on Stage is presented by WXPN. Doors open 6:30 PM/ Show 7:30 PM. General Admission tickets are $12.50 in advance and $15 on the night of the show. The Happy Fits are Calvin Langman, Ross Monteith, and Luke Davis. With their unique substitution of a cello for a bass guitar, The Happy Fits blend folk, rock, indie, and pop to create a new, groovy sound. Summer Scouts is a five-piece power pop band based in Allentown, PA. The band infuses an eclectic mix of pop sensibilities and driving rock, with a tinge of post-rock dynamics to cast a Signature Sound that is intimately heartfelt. Summer Scouts released their first full-length in May of 2016, featuring an array of dynamically-charged tracks retaining the band's hefty sonic weight, unforgettable female/male vocal melodies, and trademark post-rock influence.

Honeysuckle is a progressive folk act that blends older influences and traditional instrumentation with modern effects and inspiration. Comprised of Holly McGarry, Benjamin Burns, and Chris Bloniarz, the trio can frequently be found performing the Northeast.
Jackson Pines released their first full length album, "Purgatory Road" in 2016. The record mainly focuses on the duo of Joe Makoviecki on guitar/vocals and James Black on stand up and electric bass. They are recipients of multiple local awards in their home-state of New Jersey.
