Stafford Arima to Lead Broadway Dreams CIRCLE OF DREAMS at the Kimmel Center, 8/5-10

The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), in partnership with The KimMel Center for the Performing Arts, will present CIRCLE OF DREAMS, a unique Broadway concert open to the public, at the KimMel Center's Perelman Theater (300 South Broadway Street) on Saturday, August 10 at 3 and 8 p.m. This culmination of a week-long Summer Performing Arts Intensive will be directed by acclaimed New York City director, Stafford Arima (bare, Allegiance) and will feature veteran Broadway performers alongside a talented roster of Philadelphia area BDF students.

Our Ringmaster has assembled a colorful band of Broadway gypsies to perform spectacular musical acts and daring choreography sure to astonish and astound. Follow your dreams and join our troupe, for there's magic to do and all that's missing is you!

Stafford Arima was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award as Best Director for his West End production of Ragtime and his Off-Broadway production of Altar Boyz received the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Musical. Other recent works include the Broadway-bound Allegiance at San Diego's The Old Globe, MCC Theatre's Carrie and bare at New World Stages.

CIRCLE OF DREAMS will feature performances by Philadelphia's talented rising stars alongside Broadway performers including BDF Artistic Director Nicholas Rodriguez(Tarzan, ABC's "One Life to Live"), Craig D'Amico (Fiddler on the Roof), Nicole Parker(MadTV, Wicked), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Deidre Goodwin (Chicago) and more. The evening will include selections from the 2013 Tony Award-winning revival ofPippin, Side Show, Moulin Rouge and more.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation is the country's premier performing arts education program dedicated to ongoing engagement, inspiration, and access regardless of a student's ability to pay. In 2012, 42% of all BDF students participated on full or partial scholarship. With a faculty of Broadway stars, directors and agents committed to giving back to the theatrical community, BDF provides invaluable training to anyone who aspires for a career in the performing arts.
