A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2, written by Lucas Hnath, took Broadway by storm when it opened in 2017. This "explosively funny new play" (The Hollywood Reporter) is the comedic follow-up to Ibsen's classic dramatic masterpiece. Philadelphia audiences will be able to experience A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 starting this October as the Arden Theatre Company presents the regional premiere of Hnath's smashing new play.
Following the Arden's acclaimed production of A DOLL'S HOUSE in 2017 comes this scathingly funny sequel to Ibsen's original work. Fifteen years have passed since Nora famously slammed the door. And then there's a knock. Nora has returned. A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 explores, in uproarious fashion, the emotional chaos that results when Nora Helmer comes back home after her sojourn away.
The Arden production will be directed by Tracy Bridgen (Artistic Director at City Theatre Company in Pittsburgh for 16 years), and features an all-star cast of some of Philadelphia's finest actors, including Grace Gonglewski as Nora, Steven Rishard as Torvald, Joilet Harris as Anne Marie, and Grace Tarves as Emmy.
A DOLL'S HOUSE, PART 2 runs October 24 through December 9, 2018. Single tickets are now on sale at ardentheatre.org.
