Save The Day Productions signature series, Super Heroes Who Are Super!, presented every Second Saturday by Plays & Players, delivers word-for-word staged readings of comic books that at once celebrate and parody the soap operatic qualities of classic Marvel and DC comics. Each performance runs approximately one hour and features one or two comic books brought to life with the best in low budget costumes and special effects, witty word play and absurd physical hijinks alike.

Since its inception in 2007 by creator Daniel Student, Super Heroes Who Are Super! has performed to sold out audiences of regular theater goers and comic book aficionados alike at its Philadelphia home,
Plays & Players Theatre, including a run in the 2009 and 2010 Philly Fringe. Additionally, Super Heroes Who Are Super! performed at the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC in July, 2010 and is a regular at Atomic Comics on South Street.

"There is a rawness, an intimacy, and an electricity to these performances," says Mr. Student. "The audience has such an absolute love for the material and the actors playing off their energy highlights what live theater is all about - shared joy. Imagine a Batman, a Superman, or a Wolverine you can reach out and touch - its as ridiculous as it is wonderful."

"Master of Dreams, Part 5: Passengers"
Doctor Destiny escapes from Arkham Asylum forcing a passing motorist to take him to his ruby - Morpheus' Dreamstone - in a storage locker in the nearby town of Mayhew. Meanwhile Morpheus enlists the help of Scott Free in his own search for the gem. Who will get to it first? Is Doctor Destiny really just a loving, misguided soul? Special Guest Stars: Martian Manhunter and The Scarecrow!

"Master of Dreams, Part 6: 24 Hours"
Doctor Destiny, now in possession of Morpheus' Dreamstone uses it to unleash his madness on the world. All thoughts of world conquest go out the window however when he becomes too absorbed with watching TV and playing with a handful of patrons at an all night diner.

Brenna Geffers serves as the artistic associate for theatre exile and literary manger for Egopo Classic Theater. She is a founding member of Wandering Rom Players and graduate of Temple's MFA a program. Some favorite directing credits include Marat/Sade in a crumbling rotunda, Cabaret in the Prince Music Theatre and Mud in a basement. Next up is Visions of Hecate at Philadelphia Shax, Pterodactyls at New City stage and Saturn Returns at Exile. She has been crazy about the Sandman series since a cute boy in high school art class lent her a copy.
