If things around the Thanksgiving table get too darn hot, entertain your spouse, your friends, and your in-laws with this theatrically-immersive classic musical. KISS ME, KATE pops and swings! With a five-piece band playing Cole Porter's most-loved tunes, a professional cast, and colorful costumes, KISS ME, KATE is a musical reinvented for today's audiences.

KISS ME, KATE features music by Cole Porter and book by Sam and Bella Spewack. Renaissance Music Theatre Company's production is directed by Lance Moore.

KISS ME, KATE immerses audiences in the heart and soul of this theatrical experience. The play takes place on opening night of a traveling theatre company's performance of Shakespeare's classic play, The Taming of the Shrew. However, things heat up onstage and backstage, leading to jazzy renditions of classic Cole Porter songs such as: Another Op'nin, Another Show; Brush Up Your Shakespeare; Too Darn Hot; and of course, Kiss Me, Kate.

This is the perfect show for musical theatre buffs, for families to enjoy together, for friends looking for a Thanksgiving outing, and for fans of theatre in Philadelphia. Kick off your holiday season with this swingin' show!

The original production of KISS ME, KATE played for 1,077 performances on Broadway at the New Century Theatre and for 501 performances in London at the Coliseum Theatre. The cast included Alfred Drake, Patricia Morison, Lisa Kirk and Harold Lang. KISS ME, KATE was revived in 1999 at the Martin Beck Theatre on Broadway, where it played for 881 performances starring Brian Stokes Mitchell and Marin Mazzie, and at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London, where it played for about 300 performances starring Brent Barrett and Marin Mazzie.

Renaissance Music Theatre Company is reinventing this classic musical by staging it with twelve actors and a scaled-down orchestra pit of five musicians. It will run in an intimately sized, eighty-seat theatre. All of the actors will stay onstage throughout the show- meaning that even the backstage is onstage! RMTC promises to immerse the audience in the melodic, theatrical, always entertaining world of KISS ME, KATE.

The show runs at The Skybox at the Adrienne Theater, 2030 Sansom St. Philadelphia, PA 19107. Previews: November 22, 26 at 7:30; November 23 at 2:00. Run: November 28, 29, December 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 at 7:30; and November 30, December 6, 7, 13 at 2:00. Buy tickets at: kiss-me-kate.brownpapertickets.com or call: 1-800-838-3006
