RebelYard Theatre Collective to Present SAVAGE LOVE, 2/9 & 10

SAVAGE LOVE is a gripping one-person play by Shepard and Chaikin that captures the beauty and savagery of love in this cleverly crafted collection of love poems that will immediately resonate with anyone who has ever fallen in love.

RebelYard Theatre Collective is pleased to present SAVAGE LOVE by Sam Shepard and Joseph Chaikin as part of their 2012-2013 Season. SAVAGE LOVE is directed by Chelsea Sanz and starring Amanda Kearns. Chelsea and Amanda recently worked together on NAPOLEON PRINCESS GROUPIE NEWSPAPER by Amy Frear as part of last year's Philadelphia Fringe Festival and then at the New Play Festival at Manhattan Rep in NYC.

RebelYard Theatre Collective's mission is to "enrich the lives of its audiences by inspiring greater cultural and social awareness; through its creation of thought provoking, experimental theatre". SAVAGE LOVE promises to be an unconventional, intimate, moving, beautiful experience.

Kearns is thrilled to be working alongside Chelsea again after performing as Groupie in "NPGN. She was recently seen in MOSQUE, a new play by Jihad Milhem produced by Hybridge Arts Festival as part of their Blueprint Series. Up next she can be seen in Applied Mechanics VAINGLORIOUS in the 2013 PIFA Festival.

Chelsea Sanz is an alumnus of the University of the Arts where she received the award for Outstanding Contributions to the School of Theatre Arts. Chelsea's recently completed projects include THE BEATEN by Annie Halliday (Eager Risk Theater Company), WRITE THIS WAY by Donna Hoke (RebelYard Theatre Collective), NAPOLEON PRINCESS GROUPIE by Amy Frear (Manhattan Repertory Theatre), NAPOLEON PRINCESS GROUPIE NEWSPAPER (Philadelphia Fringe Festival) and ONE NIGHT STAND by Race Brown (Manhattan Repertory Theatre Collective).

SAVAGE LOVE will be playing at The Arts Parlor at 1170 South Broad Street. There will be performances on Saturday, February 9th at 8:30pm and Sunday, February 10th at 2:00pm.
