Raw Street Productions presents an original production, The Eighth Fish of Christmas, their final of 2018 from December 7th to December 15th at Connie's Ric Rac in South Philadelphia's historic Italian Market.
Set in the late 1980s, Anita DeSanto has just come home from a three-month-long trip to Europe, to New York and her large Italian family. (No one, except her brother Jesse, even understands why she went to begin with.) Before her trip, Anita, a 29-year-old Roman Catholic, divorced her cheating husband - she's always been told what was right and what was wrong by everyone in her life, so this was her revolt.
Anita must now face her family, friends, and neighborhood when returns early, with a new beau, the day before Christmas Eve. He's a charming, handsome New Yorker from a great family, he treats her like the princess she is, and... he's Jewish. However, Anita is about to find that she's not the only family member with a secret. There's never a dull Christmas Eve in the DeSanto house, but this year's will include divorce papers, the FBI, and some gefilte fish.
Starring: Gianna Lozzi Wolf as Anita, Jimmy Guckin as Jesse, Nancy Abrams Segal as Ma, Jeffrey Barg as David, Jeff Baxt as Mickey, Susie Hudson as Marie, Gracie Lyn Hudson as Rita, David Cashell as Pop, and Bobby DiPasquale as Jerry
