Last year, Players Club of Swarthmore raised funds to renovate their lobby rest rooms. This season, PCS is seeking assistance in upgrading technical elements for Raymond W. Smith Stage to increase production value to 2nd Stage and Children's Series productions. Fund wills also be allocated to fix the hard wood floor which will aid in the weekly tap dance education of YPTW students.
No FUNdraiser is complete at PCS without professional quality entertainment! The evening will consist of a Mainstage Cabaret featuring songs from this season's musicals: Curtains, Mary Poppins, The Fully Monty, Reefer Madness, Dear Edwina, Freckleface Strawberry, and Alexander Who's Not Not Not Going to Move. The cabaret will be hosted by long time PCS veteran, Eddie DonLevie who also stars in this season's Angels in America: PerestroikA. Singers include Kristina Psitos, Brian Walsh, Ryan Goulden, Liz Iannacci, Jeff Martin, Emily Fishman, Doris Chan, Bridget O. Thompson, Aidan Cole, and the cast of Curtains. In addition, the students of YPTW will also be featured showcasing the talents of some of the youngest triple threats in Delaware County.
Raymond W. Smith Stage will feature a 60s band led by Pete Bretz of Jean Therapy and late night improv from in house comedy troupe Bits & PieCeS.
Doors open at 6:30pm to food, drink, and silent auction. Cabaret will begin roughly around 7:30pm. The evening will continue well into the evening. There you will mix and mingle with lifelong members of PCS, on and off stage talent, as well as the Board of Governors. 2016/17 Players Club of Swarthmore Board of Governors consists of Jim Carroll (President), Kathie Senkow (Vice President), Ruth Wells Fischer (Treasurer), Donna Dougherty (Secretary), Ann Bacarach, Emily Fishman, David Griffith, Lori Knickerbocker, George Mulford, Jimmy Psitos, Anthony SanFilippo, Cindy Schneeman, Davida Weiler-Stone, Ryan Stone, and Brian Walsh.
