Pittsburgh CLO is bringing back The Gong Show for one night only, in homage to the television classic that recently returned on Comedy Central. Hosted by CLO's own Jason Coll, the performance starts at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, at the Cabaret Theater. Tickets cost just $5 at the door.
The 1970s version of The Gong Show featured outlandish performances by people with various degrees of ability. Will these local contestants get through their act, or will they hear the sudden finality of the gong? Don't miss the opportunity to cheer, boo, heckle and laugh yourself silly at participants whose skits are sure to run the gamut from inspired to ridiculous.
Since 1946, the Pittsburgh CLO has been the driving force behind live musical theater in Pittsburgh and the entire Southwestern Pennsylvania region. Pittsburgh CLO is a not-for-profit organization that appreciates the support of more than 200,000 patrons each year. Its dedication to the musical theater art form extends beyond the summer season with such programs as the CLO Academy, the CLO Mini Stars, the
Gene Kelly Awards, the Construction Center for the Arts and the CLO Cabaret.
