Pittsburgh CLO Holds Auditions for Mini Stars

Pittsburgh CLO announces auditions for 2007-2008 Mini Stars.  PCLO is currently seeking 18 to 20 young performers in grades 7-11 to perform as part of a high-energy musical theater performance troupe.

Auditions are held Sunday, September 23 from 11AM to 3PM at Pittsburgh CLO Academy of Musical Theater (Penn Avenue Place, 130 CLO Academy Way, 8th Floor in Downtown, Pittsburgh).

Performers wishing to audition should prepare 2 songs (in musical theater style), 16 bars legit and 16 bars belt.  Auditioners should bring legible sheet music in the correct key.  An accompanist will be provided.  There will also be a dance component to auditions.  Please call 412-281-2234 x104 for additional requirements.

"Created in 1982, the CLO Mini Stars showcase their talents at home in Pittsburgh and beyond.  This talented group illuminates every event with its full-scale, dazzling, high-energy revue of Broadway's most memorable moments.  The Mini Stars have been featured performers at Walt Disney World's Epcot Center and in CLO productions including Disney's High School Musical, 42nd Street, Grease, Bye Bye Birdie and the Gene Kelly Awards.  Corporate support for the CLO Mini Stars is provided by the Macy's Foundation with additional support provided by the CLO Guild," state press notes.
