Pig Iron to Host Annual Fundraiser, 2/5

Each year, Pig Iron Theatre Company welcomes audiences back to the Troc for an unbelievable night of music, dance, wild theatrics, and more with each incarnation of its annual benefit. This year, LA VIE BO-HAM, the annual For the Love of Pig Iron bash will take over the Trocadero, Friday, February 5 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $30, Premium Seating is $100 and VIP Seating is $200. Pig Iron Theatre Company has pulled out all of the stops for this tres elegant evening. The host for the affair is Quinn "Je ne sais pas" Bauriedel. He will be joined by Ms. Martha Graham Cracker, appearing on the heels of her debut at the Moulin Rouge. The line-up includes: Opera Philadelphia, Gunnar Montana, The West Philly Orchestra, Lorin Sklamberg of The Klezmatics, Setu Tribe, Johnny Showcase, Emmanuelle Delpech, and Valerie Marcozzi.

Pig Iron's productions have been presented at Dance Theatre Workshop and Abrons Arts Center (NYC), Z Space (San Francisco), Woolly Mammoth (DC), Festival Konfrontacje Teatralne (Lublin, Poland), Teatr Rozmaitosci (Warsaw, Poland), Camden People's Theatre (London), October Arts Festival (Ennis, Ireland), Strictly Mundial Festival (Salvador, Brazil), the Under the Radar Festival (NYC), as well as six tours to Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2015, Pig Iron partnered with the University of the Arts to begin offering an MFA in Devised Performance. The partnership will continue to offer a two- year Certificate in Devised Performance at the Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training.
