THE VICTIM is a new original musical composed and written by 17-year-old Hanover High School student Zachary David Terrazas.
The musical delivers a powerful anti-bullying message of "No More Pain." The story centers on a high school girl named Claire, who is being bullied by a popular girl named Missy. While Claire struggles to find out who she is, the audience discovers that there is more to Missy than what you see on the outside. Sometimes the bully has as many weaknesses as the victim, and can be hurting just as much on the inside.
Whether you've been bullied, bullied someone, or just have been a witness, this show will entertain and hopefully change a few lives for the better. This musical deals with problems that every teenager faces at some point in their lives- including school problems, family problems, and relationship problems. Every audience member will be able to relate to at least one of the characters in this show that is serious, but has a lighthearted side too. The music is of professional caliber, with flavors of jazz, gospel and pop. A portion of the ticket proceeds from these two performances will be donated to the Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition that advocates for safer schools against bullying with the PA Safe Schools Act.
THE VICTIM plays on January 12 and 13 at Hanover Senior High School in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
