Arthur Laurents, Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim's musical Gypsy, based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, will be presented by the Actors' NET of Bucks County July 13 to 29 at the Heritage Center in Morrisville, Pa. Get a first look at the production in the photos below!
This legendary musical boasts one of the most brilliant scores in Broadway history. NET Co-founder Joe Doyle directs Margo O'Moore of Dresher as "Momma Rose," Jack Bathke of Robbinsville, NJ as "Herbie," Brooke Calderone of Yardley as "June" and Sarah Webster of Morrisville as timid "Louise," a.k.a. Gypsy Rose Lee.
With musical direction by Pat Masterson and choreography by Dani Tucci-Juraga, the production also stars Susan Fowler of Newtown, Wendy Graham-Hugo of Yardley and Jeannine Ducharme Haight of Pennington, NJ, as the three strippers who tutor Louise in the fine arts of shedding her clothes. Featuring (alphabetically) Ken Ammerman, Christopher Cherin, Stacy Danka, Mitch Gerson, Marco Newton, Jack Petzkoand many more.
The production is assistant directed by Maryalice Rubins-Topoleski, stage managed by Kelly E. Allen and assistant stage managed by Andrew McManus. The entire show is designed by NET Artistic Director Cheryl Doyle.
Show days and times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. with extra shows on July 19 and 26 at 8 p.m. and July 28 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and $10 for children age 12 and under.
