Charles Busch and members of the original cast of his hit play, THE DIVINE SISTER will go back in the habit at Bucks County Playhouse for a limited run of the play July 22 through August 13. The official opening night is July 23. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the stars in character below!

A highly acclaimed, hilarious comedy written by and starring Busch, THE DIVINE SISTER is the third production in a record-breaking season at Bucks County Playhouse. Directed by Carl Andress, The Playhouse production features members of the original company including Busch, Alison Fraser, Julie Halston, Jennifer Van Dyck and Jonathan Walker. Erin Maguire is the sole newcomer in the cast.

Produced by Robyn Goodman, Alexander Fraser, Stephen Kocis and Joshua Fiedler, THE DIVINE SISTER is the second play by Busch to be presented at Bucks County Playhouse since the theater's reopening in 2012. Busch's award-winning comedy, "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife," was produced as part of the 2013 Season.

Take a not-so-veiled look under the habit in this twisted, comic mash-up featuring nearly every Hollywood 'nun film' ever made - evoking such films as "The Song of Bernadette," "The Bells of St. Mary's," "The Trouble with Angels," "The Singing Nun," "Agnes of God," "The DaVinci Code" and more.

In THE DIVINE SISTER, The Convent at St. Veronica's of Pittsburgh desperately needs a new school. Mother Superior is determined to get it built, but first she must deal with a host of colorful, hilarious characters that stand in her way. This madcap sister act evokes the wildly comic but affectionately observed theatrical style of the creator of "Die, Mommie, Die!" "Psycho Beach Party," and "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife."

Most of the original creative team from the New York City engagement also will reprise their roles at Bucks County Playhouse. This team includes B.T. Whitehill (Scenic Design), Fabio Toblini (Costume Design), Gina Scherr (Lighting Design), Jill DuBoff (Sound Design), and Katherine Carr (Wig Design).

Single tickets to "The Divine Sister" are on sale now. For full details, and to purchase tickets, visit buckscountyplayhouse.org, call 215-862-2121, or visit the box office at 70 South Main Street, New Hope, PA.
