Liberty Point returns for a history-making second season on the Philadelphia waterfront starting on Thursday, April 13th. The giant open-air entertainment venue, restaurant, bar and private event space returns with a new culinary program, a new line-up of special events, a full calendar of live music and concerts, property upgrades - and of course, those award-winning summer vibes. Philadelphia's largest outdoor restaurant will again feature unobstructed, panoramic waterfront views with seating and space for up to 1,400 guests. The unique outdoor-indoor concept features three levels, five bars, food, drink, live entertainment, and beautiful landscaping for unparalleled summer vibes. For its second season, Liberty Point offers a revitalized dining menu of Mexican, seafood and casual dishes. The refreshing beverage menu will feature summer cocktails, frozen drinks, seltzer, cider, beer, and wine. Liberty Point is located at 211 S. Columbus Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19106, adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum. Doors open on Thursday, April 13th at 4:00pm. Daily operating hours will then be Noon to 2:00am starting Friday, April 14th. Reservations are encouraged during dining hours. Walk-up seating is available, space permitting. Reservations can be made by visiting www.libertypointphilly.com. Walk-up bar service is welcome.

"Liberty Point is back for a big second season as one of the top spots for summertime fun," said Owner Avram Hornik. "We are proud to be one of the largest waterfront and outdoor destinations in the tri-state region. For year two, there is something going on every week from concerts, fairs, food, drink, events, private parties and so much more. We are so thankful for everyone's support from our debut and we are thrilled to be part of what we hope to be one of Philly's largest summers ever on the waterfront. We hope to be the prime spot for locals to make memories all summer long, and we look forward to hosting tourists and visitors that have added the waterfront to their warm-weather itinerary."

He added, "FCM Hospitality would like to thank Independence Seaport Museum for their continual support of this massive venture. Hornik looks forward to partnering with them for many of their on-water excursions and events."

Liberty Point takes its inspiration from the rich history of Philadelphia and its waterfront - and it is meant to be a celebration of the liberty and the American identify. Liberty is what sailors were granted when their ship docked at port and they were allowed to go ashore and experience the town. Years later, Liberty Point is where patrons and visitors can now come together and enjoy their freedom by socializing with friends and family at the point facing out toward the Delaware River. The venue opened one year ago in 2022 - and saw tens of thousands of visitors in its inaugural season.

Now back for year two, the complex has three main levels, with other sub-levels, totaling in 25,000 square feet of space outside and 3,000 square feet on the inside. It can host 1,400 guests at one time. Upgrades for the season include more plants and flowers to accompany the existing greenery that have matured after its initial debut year. High above the decks, look for jewel-toned sails against the blue skies for shade and added aesthetics. This year, Liberty Point has added a second floor lift for added accessibility.

For vibes, look for the breathtaking waterfront views, expansive space, unique vantage points from various levels, interesting seating styles throughout the complex - and amazing waterfront location that is central to all the activities between Spruce Street Harbor Park to Cherry Street Pier to Craft Hall - and beyond. The elevated views are some of the best on the river of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, as well as the season fireworks shows over the water.

When the weather breaks, people want to flock to enjoy the outdoor spaces the Philadelphia area has to offer. Liberty Point adds to growing demand for al fresco entertainment, offering an idyllic spot for the perfect date night, family outing, summertime celebrations, and remains open into the fun of the Fall season.

Inside, look for an interior bar and dining area adorned with a wall of vintage mirrors so you can view the water behind you even while indoors. Natural materials accent the vintage finds, with panoramic windows to give guests the waterfront vibe without the worries of inclement weather.

For entertainment, guests can grab a seat in front of Liberty Point's permanent stage in the heart of the complex in the massive, open air amphitheater. Entertainment is scheduled weekly and will feature live music Friday, Saturday and Sundays with DJs throughout the week. Locally famous DJ XTina is the first to hit the DJ booth for 2023, when she spins the tunes to launch the new season on Thursday, April 13th. The Heartbeats, a local group composed of dynamic male and female lead vocalists and a full rhythm and horn section, open the live music season on Friday, May 5th at 7 PM. The full entertainment schedule can be found by visiting www.libertypointphilly.com/calendar.

For food, Executive Chef Miguel Hernadez debuts a completely revamped culinary program that also maintains the same emphasis on local produce, casual flare, and big flavors. Guests can expect a Mexican-Philadelphia style menu, with a special seafood flare and a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Stand out dishes include Lobster Quesadilla (Monterey jack cheese, fresh corn, poblanos, onions, sour cream), vegan Poblano and Potato Tacos (avocado salsa verde, pickled onion), Chorizo "Chopped Cheese" (shaved lettuce, cilantro, chipotle mayo, queso chihuahua, long roll), and the Crab-Dip Empanadas (crab, poblano, potato, cream cheese). Food service includes lunch and dinner, plus an exceptional private events menu with a variety of catering platters and full dinner buffet options.
