Philly Improv Theater's 2013 Fringe Festival run is getting all geeky startingtomorrow night with Study Hall. An expansion of the popular comedy and history of science program PHIT has produced for the Philadelphia Science Festival the last three years, this short run of shows - this weekend only - will be sure to please just about anyone. Plus, it's getting a lot of great press.
Don't miss out on your chance to catch the show: purchase tickets in advance! (Remember: every advance ticket purchase for a PHIT 2013 Fringe Festival production enters you to win tickets to another show at the theater this year).
As if that was not enough, there's also a great little trailer for the show you should check out right now:
Spontaneous comedy from brutally honest science. Drexel professor Michael Yudell will exploit every ounce of his tenure to share subjects from impregnation to parasitic strategy, and senior PHIT comedy team Asteroid! will use their every impulse to warp each lecture into ribald sketches. A favorite of the annual Philadelphia Science Festival!Asteroid! is a PHIT house team and winner of the 2013 WitOut Award for Best Improv Group. The cast features Luke Field, AJ Horan, Brent Knobloch, Lora Magaldi, Jessica Ross, Aaron Unice, and Caitlin Weigel. Directed by Mike Marbach.
